2 NEGROS BOXERS WIN IN ELORDE CARD
World Boxing Organization (WBO) Rated No. 4 and Asia Pacific flyweight champion Rexon Flores of Cadiz City, 22, dominated Acasio Simbajon of Leyte with punches to the head and body in 5 rounds last October 30, 2005 at the Grand Flash Ballroom, Elorde Sports Center, Sucat, Parañaque City and snatched the win when his opponent was not able to answer the bell for the 6th round of their scheduled 10-round bout.
The Flores-Simbajon card was a rematch of their August 27 skirmish which was adjudged a 2nd round technical draw because of a 2-inch cut in the head of Simbajon from an accidental headbutt. Flores improved to 14-2-4 8 KOs.
Meanwhile, Ronilo Sermona of Negros Occidental defeated Marlon Malacao of Tondo, Manila at 48 seconds of the 3rd round of a flyweight undercard bout. Sermona rose to 3-1-0 3 KO.
