2ND MAYOR’S CUP “BEST OF MARTIAL ARTS” RESET

Master Elmer V. Montoyo, founder/president of the Philippine Integrated Martial Arts Academy-Filipino Tang Soo Do Association (PIMAA-FTSDA), has officially postponed the 2nd Best of the Martial Arts tournament scheduled on December 17, 2005 in Bacolod City.

This came after the organizers did not reach the budget for the competition. The tournament has been scheduled to feature 4 divisions: Filipino Tang soo do, kuntao silat, wushu sanshou, and either mixed martial arts or grappling. An exhibition match for the indigenous Ilonggo grappling art dumog as well as an assortment of demonstrations were also planned. Amante Sensei, Conceptual Martial Arts Society of Muay Association of the Philippines Negros Occidental Coordinator James U. Sy Jr. Sensei and All Philippine Sipa-Sumbag Martial Arts Federation Secretary Narciso “Hansy” L.
