PIMAA-FTSDA BREAKS GROUND WITH SK M.A. FESTIVAL
The 1st Sangguniang Kabataan Festival of Martial Arts was jointly held by the Office of the Sangguniang Kabataan of Brgy. Sum-ag under chairperson Hon. Portia Grace G. Gelisanga in cooperation with the Philippine Integrated Martial Arts Academy-Filipino Tang Soo Do Association (PIMAA-FTSDA) of Master Elmer V. Montoyo on March 13, 2004 at the Dr. Joaquin R. Villarosa Memorial Gymnasium, Brgy. Sum-ag, Bacolod City.
The 6 participating organizations were Black Mamba Arnis of Masters Dominador “Jun-Jun” Villaluna and Romeo “Roming” Postrano, Brotherhood of Mixed Martial Artists of Bacolod represented by Fight Club of Edwin J. Tusil, Dangayan Singkaw-Ryu Aikidokan (DSRA) of James U. Sy Jr. Sensei, Narciso “Hansy” L. Alojado Sensei, and Victorio C. Perez Sensei, Lapu-Lapu Viñas Arnis Aficionados Association of Headmaster Wilson “Nonong” E. Viñas represented by Kalantiaw Defense Society of Grandmaster Dominador “Doming” D. Ferrer and Conceptual Martial Arts Society of Instructors James U. Sy Jr. and Narciso “Hansy” L. Alojado, PIMAA-FTSDA of Founder Elmer V. Montoyo Sabumnim and Chief Instructor Elmer P. Montoyo Jr. Kyosanim, and Wushu Federation of the Philippines-Negros Occidental (WFP-Neg. Occ.) represented by the Black Falcon Martial Arts Association-Main (BFMAA-Main) of Negros Coordinator Joery C. Amante Sensei.
FMA is for Filipino Martial Arts. FMA Circle is a group of persons and organizations sharing a common interest or revolving about a common center. That common center is the Art and Craft of Martial Arts as practiced, and developed by Filipino Warriors and Scholars of the Warrior Ways. In short, FMA Circle is dedicated to any Martial Arts as practiced by Filipinos.
