M.A.P. VISAYAS, 1-2-1 IN 2005 NAT’L GRAND PRIX
Muay Association of the Philippines-Visayas Chapter under Visayas and Region 7 Head Kru Ike Xavier Villaflores of Dumaguete City took home a 1-2-1 medal haul during the 2005 National Muay Grand Prix held last June 2-4, 2005 at the Philsports Arena (Ultra), Pasig City.
World Championships bronze medalist Ruben Sumido of Iloilo City got the lone gold for MAP Visayas while Eugene Toquero of Cebu and Jojie Pasagdan of Dumaguete City got the silver in their respective weight categories. Pasagdan’s teammate Romnick Pabalate settled for bronze. The Dumaguete athletes are under MAP Region 7 Coordinator Ike Xavier Villaflores, founder of the Dumaguete Muay Association.
FMA is for Filipino Martial Arts. FMA Circle is a group of persons and organizations sharing a common interest or revolving about a common center. That common center is the Art and Craft of Martial Arts as practiced, and developed by Filipino Warriors and Scholars of the Warrior Ways. In short, FMA Circle is dedicated to any Martial Arts as practiced by Filipinos.
