AGUILAR CONDUCTS BJJ SEMINAR IN BACOLOD AND VICTORIAS


Alvin Aguilar, the Philippines’ premier Gracie/Brazilian jiu-jitsu propagator, mounts and ties up URCC fighter Glenn Sumanoy of Dumaguete City.

Alvin Aguilar of the Defensive Tactics Center, the Philippines’ premier Gracie/Brazilian jiu-jitsu propagator and founder of the Universal Reality Combat Championships (URCC), conducted a Grappling Seminar with the sponsorship of Negros Taekwondo Union-Tigers of Head Coach Jim Jim Chua on October 21, 2003 at the NTU-T Main Gym, Mayfair Plaza, 12th St. Lacson, Bacolod City.

Some of those who attended were Roberto A. Alaban Jr. of Manapla Aikido, Narciso “Hansy” L. Alojado Sensei of Conceptual Martial Arts Society, Joery C. Amante Sensei of Black Falcon Martial Arts Association-Main (BFMAA-Main), Edilberto A. Arcositas Sensei of Bertar Karate Kan (BKK), Head Coach Jim Jim Chua of NTU-T, Roy R. Flores Sensei of Tapondo International Federation Inc.-Negros, Raymund Antonio Maguad of CMAS, Master Elmer V. Montoyo of Philippine Integrated Martial Arts Academy-Filipino Tang Soo Do Association (PIMAA-FTSDA), James U. Sy Jr. Sensei of CMAS, Edwin J. Tusil Sensei of Fight Club Combat and Streetfighting Center (FC), and Jorim “Nene” C. Valencia Kyosanim of Kimdo Martial Arts Organization (KMAO).

That evening Aguilar traveled to Victorias City to make a BJJ demonstration at the Victorias Milling Corporation. Instructors and members of the brotherhood Martial Arts Federation (BMAF) were present during the exhibition.

In both engagements, Aguilar announced his intention to hold a URCC tournament in Bacolod City.
