CMAS-USLS VISITS YAMING GM
Founders Narciso “Hansy” L. Alojado and James U. Sy Jr. led 8 members of the Conceptual Martial Arts Society-USLS in visiting yaming Grandmaster Fortunato “Atong” Garcia on January 31, 2004 in Brgy. Mandalagan, Bacolod City.
The activity, dubbed as the 1st CMAS-USLS Indigenous Filipino Martial Arts Field Trip, is one of the outreach programs undertaken by CMAS-USLS under its President Joey Arnold Toga.
GM Garcia (Born: 1917) is one of the oldest living grandmasters of arnis in Negros at age 86.
The students who joined the field trip were Emilio Beroncal, PIO Eleanor Benedicto and Agnes Gonxha Empio, VP Joy Gallos, Treasurer Montano Mondia IV, Business Manager Khenn Providencia, and Secretary Rommel John Panal.
FMA is for Filipino Martial Arts. FMA Circle is a group of persons and organizations sharing a common interest or revolving about a common center. That common center is the Art and Craft of Martial Arts as practiced, and developed by Filipino Warriors and Scholars of the Warrior Ways. In short, FMA Circle is dedicated to any Martial Arts as practiced by Filipinos.
