MARTIAL ARTS FEATURES STARTED IN WESTERN VISAYAS JOURNAL
After 21 years of publication, the Western Visayas Journal finally introduced its first ever martial arts feature on February 23, 2004. The initial article was entitled “The First Two Months of 2004: The flourishing of the Martial Arts in Negros” and was written by James U. Sy Jr. of the Conceptual Martial Arts Society, the premier martial arts researcher and writer in the Negros Island. The Western Visayas Journal was founded in 1983.
FMA is for Filipino Martial Arts. FMA Circle is a group of persons and organizations sharing a common interest or revolving about a common center. That common center is the Art and Craft of Martial Arts as practiced, and developed by Filipino Warriors and Scholars of the Warrior Ways. In short, FMA Circle is dedicated to any Martial Arts as practiced by Filipinos.
