SPORTS FORUM HOSTS LAPU-LAPU VIÑAS ARNIS, CMAS
Negros Daily Bulletin sports writer and broadcaster Cyrus M. Garde hosted Lapu-Lapu Viñas Arnis Aficionados Association (LVAAA) Headmaster Wilson “Nonong” E. Viñas and Conceptual Martial Arts Society Founder James U. Sy Jr. in his TV program Sports Forum which was aired over Negros Info Channel (Skycable Channel 32) on February 20, 2004.
The interview was historic in that 1) it was the first time Lapu-Lapu Viñas arnis was featured on cable or regular broadcast TV and 2) Sports Forum was the first cable TV program to produce an episode which discussed aikido, arnis, judo, Kimdo, mixed martial arts, pencak silat, and wushu sanshou in just one setting.
FMA is for Filipino Martial Arts. FMA Circle is a group of persons and organizations sharing a common interest or revolving about a common center. That common center is the Art and Craft of Martial Arts as practiced, and developed by Filipino Warriors and Scholars of the Warrior Ways. In short, FMA Circle is dedicated to any Martial Arts as practiced by Filipinos.
