BACSMA JIN SETTLES FOR SILVER

Bacoleño and Bacolod Consolidated Sports Management Association (BACSMA) jin Mark Anthony Carmona, representing University of the East, faced the greatest challenge of his competition career when he came face to face with Milo sensation and Philippine Team stalwart John Paul Lizardo during the 4th Samsung Best of the Best National Taekwondo Championships held on August 7-11, 2005 at the Glorieta Activity Center, Makati City.

Carmona was ahead by a point in the 1st round and tied Lizardo in the 2nd round at 3-3 but had to withdraw from the championship bout due to an injury and had to settle for the silver medal.

Other crowned champions of the event were Elaine Alora of Laguna (featherweight), Gerrielyn Arranzanso of La Salle (finweight), Zach Canoy of Socsargen (mid heavyweight), Loraine Catalan of UP (flyweight), Tshomlee Go of PAF (flyweight), Marie Antoinette Rivero (light welterweight), and Esther Marie Sayson of UST (bantamweight).
