The FMA Circle of Negros Island, the first website in the world dedicated to the martial arts organizations, practitioners, instructors, masters, and grandmasters of the Negros Island, was officially launched by Ronin on September 26, 2005. Truth_bringer and Buccaneer serve as moderators.

FMA Circle of Negros Island is a group of organizations and individuals with a common center. That center is the martial arts, whether Filipino in origin or otherwise, as practiced by Filipino warriors and scholars of the warrior ways.

With so many myths, half truths, misinformation, lies, and inaccuracies in the internet nowadays about the various martial arts, the compilers of FMA Circle of Negros Island wanted to present an avenue where reliable, legitimate, verifiable, and documented information can be stored for and accessed by those who are conducting research or simply wanting to know what’s up in the Negros martial arts community.

As of date and up to the completion of the site, FMA Circle of Negros Island will contain not less than 75 news items, articles, and issues that cover at least 34 forms of martial arts, at least 67 martial arts organizations, 16 cities and municipalities in Negros, and other areas in Antique, Iloilo, Manila, New York, Pavia, and Roxas City among others where Negrense martial artists excelled in interregional, national, and international tournaments.

Arts covered include aikido, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, conceptual martial arts, espada y daga, Filipino Tang soo do, grappling, Guarra style modern arnis, herada pigada, judo, karate, kickboxing, Kimdo, kombatan, Lapu-Lapu Viñas arnis, mixed martial arts, muay Thai, oido de caburata, original Filipino tapado, pencak silat olahraga, Presas style modern arnis, Romero arnis de mano, shibashi, sikaran, taekwondo, tai chi chuan, Tanique arnis, tapondo, Togle style modern arnis, Vasquez modified karate, Vasquez modified tapado, western boxing, wushu sanshou, yaming, and Yasay sable among others.

A directory of martial arts schools will soon be posted for the reference of visiting martial artists in the Negros Island and local students of the warrior arts.
