ATLETA JUDO CLUB DOMINATES NAT’L JR. & KIDS TILT

The Administered Training Leading to the Empowerment of Talisay Athletes (ATLETA) Judo Club of Chief Professor Kinjho, Masaharu K. Shihan, 8th dan black belt PAJA, was crowned overall champion with a 13-7-6 medal haul during the 2005 Philippine National Juniors and Kids Individual Judo Championships on June 11-12, 2005 at the Rizal Memorial Coliseum, Vito Cruz, Malate, Metro Manila. The Philippine Amateur Judo Association (PAJA) sanctioned tournament pitted 17 teams.

Davao Masters (6-5-7), Muntinlupa (5-4-7), and UP Diliman Quezon (4-3-3) were 2nd to 4th places respectively.

AJC gold medalists were Edgardo S. Alegayda of DLMHS (kids boys -73 kg.), Arai Tetsuro S. of LCC-Main (kids boys +46 kg.), Shallane T. Bello of CHMSC (kids girls -45 kg.), Novelyn B. Benigay of Concepcion Elementary School (kids girls +29 kg.), Renelyn B. Benigay of De La Salle Manila (juniors women’s -48 kg.), Charlton Steve Duron of CES (kids boys -35 kg.), Aljaymar S. Estremos of WNC (juniors men’s -81 kg.), Rafael M. Garcia of TES (kids boys -46 kg.), Kinjho Sueko L. of CES (kids girls -29 kg.), Jessa L. Marin of JBLCF (juniors women’s -70 kg.), Nonalyn P. Oredina of CES (kids girls -32 kg.), Mark Ryan D. Tortogo of CES (kids boys -42 kg.), and Katherine H. Villegas of CES (kids girls -22 kg.);

AJC silver medalists were Marian de la Cruz of CES (kids girls -32 kg.), Roosevelt S. Delatina of JBLCF (juniors men’s -73 kg.), Mary Ann E. Diaz of CHMSC (juniors women’s -63 kg.), Patricia Marie L. Kinjho of CHMSC (juniors women’s -52 kg.), Nechelle P. Oredina of DHGGMHS (kids girls -36 kg.), Rey L. Telebrico of CHMSC (kids boys -55 kg.), and Jo-an S. Villamin of RBLMHS (juniors women’s -78 kg.).

AJC bronze medalists were Marjun Acupinpin of Hda. Virgen II RBLMHS (kids boys +73 kg.), Aljun S. Estremos of Shema CA (kids boys -25 kg.), Jovelyn R. Laboriante of RBLMHS (kids girls -73 kg.), Edna H. Montoya of CHMSC (juniors women’s -45 kg.), Crisa Joy W. Neri of RBLMHS (kids girls -57 kg.), and Ronamie G. Robles of RBLMHS (kids girls +36 kg.).

Officials were Kinjho Shihan (head of delegation, team manager, head coach); Emir P. Reyes, 4th dan, National A Referee (team referee); Jansen Y. Benjamin, 3rd dan, National B Referee and Jessmond R. Delos Reyes Jalwin L. Luanebelle, both 2nd dan (coaches).
