3RD BACOLOD TKD ASPIRANTS CHALLENGE HELD

The Bacolod Consolidated Sports Management Association (BACSMA) in cooperation with the Bacolod Taekwondo Mission Association (BTMA) and Negros Taekwondo Mission Association (NTMA) held the 3rd Bacolod Taekwondo Aspirants Challenge Matches last September 4, 2005 at the BACSMA Gym, Court D, 3F Cineplex Bldg., Araneta St., Bacolod City. Jins representing 11 schools joined the competition.

BACSMA head instructor Joel R. Casiple was tournament director. Technical officials include Albert Algarme, Jerry Estante, Felix “Vic” Feria Jr., Catherine Joy Guotana, Ellen June Guotana, and Mark Anthony Tan.

The participating schools were Bacolod Christian Education Center School, Bacolod City National High School, Buakim Learning Center, Education Training Center School-1, LCC-Bacolod, Medel Elementary School, Medel Elementary School, Medel National High School, Negros Occidental High School, Rizal Elementary School, St. Vincent’s Academy, Sum-ag Elementary School, and Sum-ag National High School.

Gold medalists were:

GRADE SCHOOL BOYS. Daniel Casiple of Buakim Learning Center (4’0”-4’3”), Welker Añora of Education Training Center School-1 (4’3”-4’6”), John Escalona of Rizal Elementary School (4’6”-4’9”), and Christian Maculada of ETCS-1 (4’9”-5’0”).

GRADE SCHOOL GIRLS. Grace Bedayos of ETCS-1 (4’0”-4’3”), Zion Gumapang of Rizal Elementary School (4’3”-4’6”), Kasandra Yanson of ETCS-1 (4’6”-4’9”), and Tiffanie Cruz of ETCS-1 (4’9”-5’0”).

SECONDARY BOYS. Yusif Aguda of NOHS (Finweight), Carmelino Divino of Sum-ag National High School (flyweight), Mike Mascardo of NOHS (bantamweight), and Rogen Damasco of Sum-ag National High School (featherweight), Rodolfo Sabay of Sum-ag National High School (lightweight), and Louie Cabalatungan of NOHS (welterweight).

SECONDARY GIRLS. Stephanie Garcia of Sum-ag National High School (Finweight), Corazon de la Cruz of NOHS (flyweight), Annie Danila of Sum-ag National High School (bantamweight), Micah Agenales of Sum-ag National High School (featherweight), Myka Arnado (lightweight), and Michele Jardiniano of Sum-ag National High School (welterweight).
