NOHS & SNHS BRINGS 1-2-1 MILO TKD MEDAL HAUL

The 10th Milo Little Olympics Taekwondo Championships were held by Milo in cooperation with the Department of Education and the sanction of the Philippine taekwondo Association (PTA) last September 10, 2005 at the Sacred Heart School-Jesuit, Cebu City. Several private and public elementary and high schools from Bacolod, Cebu City, Dumaguete, Iloilo, Lapu-Lapu, Mandaue, Tagbilaran, and municipalities from Cebu Province participated in the event.

Bacolod Consolidated Sports Management Association (BACSMA) jins representing Negros Occidental High School (NOHS) and Sum-ag National High School (SNHS) brought home a 1-2-1 medal haul. Medalists were Eugene Bedayos of NOHS (gold, super finweight), Quinie Recto of SNHS (silver, bantamweight), Myrel Tapang of SNHS (silver, flyweight), and Regine Compra of NOHS (bronze, super finweight). The other member of the team was Mike Mascardo of NOHS who competed in the bantamweight division. Their on-the-scene coach was Albert Algarme. Head instructor for BACSMA is Joel R. Casiple.
