1ST PRK. MACANPIÑA M.A. EXPO HELD

Instructors who made the 1st Purok Macanpiña Martial Arts Expo a success.

Prk. Macanpiña and Brgy. 6 officials successfully held the 1st Purok Macanpiña Martial Arts Expo on August 28, 2004 at the Purok Macanpiña Basketball Court, Brgy. 6, Bacolod City as part of the village’s annual fiesta celebration. 52 martial artists representing 11 martial arts organizations from Bacolod and Silay Cities participated in the event.

The event was organized by Prk. President Edgar Dueñas, Punong Barangay Jessie Chua, and Barangay Kagawad Rudy Baydo and was facilitated by Master Jun Necesito of Negros Federation Arnis Club and Cargeoren T. Lusabia Sensei of Fight Club. James U. Sy Jr. Sensei of Conceptual Martial Arts Society-Main gave out the invitations to the different groups. The expo was historic in that it was the first and the biggest such event held in the purok.

Participating organizations were Bacolod Aikido Enthusiasts, Bernas Estocadas, Bertar Karate Kan, Conceptual Martial Arts Society, Fight Club Combat and Streetfighting Center
Kalantiaw Defense Society, Negros Federation Arnis Club, Philippine Modern Arnis, Romero Arnis de Mano, Supreme Modern Combat, and Tapondo International Federation Inc.-Negros Chapter.

Sponsors were San Miguel Corporation, Milo, and Negros Weekly.
