NUÑESCO SHINES IN PAVIA WUSHU

Sherwin Nuñesco avenged the loss of his teammates Leoniel Nuñesco and Romulo Cañete Jr. and gave the 3-man Wushu Federation of the Philippines-Negros Occidental (WFP-Neg. Occ.) under Coordinator Joery C. Amante of the Black Falcon Martial Arts Association-Main (BFMAA-Main) its only gold during the 1st Pavia Wushu Sanshou Tournament on May 2, 2004 in Pavia.

The event was organized by the Iloilo Tinagan Martial Arts Club Inc. (ITMACI) of WFP Western Visayas Head Coach Arnold S. Tinagan in cooperation with the Pavia Philippine National Police (PNP). A total of 13 bouts were fought between players from Panay and Negros Occidental.

Sherwinm Nuñesco scored a 2nd round TKO against his opponent. The Brotherhood Martial Arts Federation (BMAF) of President Rustico Pabalinas and Ian Negrido fielded 7 players; only Nilrax de Cape went home with a win.
